incubator Year
School
of ministry
Church of the City is pleased to announce the launch of the School of Ministry Incubator Year in the Fall of 2026.
The Incubator Year exists to cultivate future ministry leaders who desire to see the fame and deeds of God renewed and known in our time by being deeply rooted in Christ, equipped with biblical understanding, and prepared to serve the unique needs of our city.
Our mission is to see lost New Yorkers far from God, transformed into compelling missional disciples by producing leaders through a year of growth, practical ministry experience, and spiritual formation. We envision a cohort of leaders transformed by the gospel, who will be sent out to shape communities with compassion, wisdom, and a deep reliance on the Holy Spirit. This year is a launching pad—turning passion into sustained, impactful ministry.
Structure and Outcomes:
This year blends classroom learning with real-world ministry placements. Graduates will emerge ready to serve in Church of the City or beyond, embodying the values and vision of our community. Students who complete three of the four courses will receive a certificate indicating that they are graduates of the Church of the City School of Ministry Incubator year! This will be a one-time certificate only available to those students completing the program.
